As of November 26, 2015 Russia has started imposing trade restrictions on Turkey. On August 13, 2015 the Russian Government announced that the food embargo would be expanded to additionally cover the listed food products originating from Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Ukraine (on special conditions). On March 2, 2015 the Russian authorities announced that they may possibly withdraw the ban on imports of food products originating from countries that have introduced Ukraine-related sanctions against Russia.
