The EU has extended its sanctions in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 March 2018.  The list of persons subject to asset freezes and travel bans has been reviewed and amended slightly to reflect individuals who are now deceased and companies which have merged. In total, the restrictive measures now apply to 149 persons and 38 entities.  The legislation was published in the Official Journal of 15 September 2017 (here). Further information can be found in the Council’s press release (here).
