On 2 May 2014, Norway implemented a regulation (“the Regulation“) amending a previous regulation enacted on 21 March, which imposed travel bans and asset freezes against 21 Russian politicians and officials. The Regulation, which is effective from 2 May 2014, adds a further 15 individuals in connection with the crises in Ukraine. In line with our blog on 27 March 2014, this new list of individuals mirrors the persons who were designated by the EU under Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No 433/2014 on 29 April 2014. As such, the list focuses on Russian and Ukrainian military and political figures and does not target any entities.
