On May 12, 2014, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (“DFATD“) amended the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations and the Special Economic Measures (Ukraine) Regulations to expand the list of designated persons by six individuals each.
These additional 12 individuals are also sanctioned by the EU and add to a growing list of individuals and entities that have been sanctioned in recent weeks due to their participation in the annexation of Crimea.
