The event will kick off with a fireside chat with Sara Schuman, Managing Director, Beacon Global Strategies. Ms. Schuman brings unparalleled experience and insight at the forefront of U.S.-China trade relations, previously serving in senior U.S. government roles for more than a decade in Washington and Beijing. This conversation will delve into current trade policy and economic dynamics, providing valuable context and setting the stage for the substantive virtual sessions scheduled for the following week.

The fireside chat will be followed by two panels, the first will explore how tariffs are shaping not only trade flows, but broader business strategy and planning and the second will discuss legal risks around the evolving intersection of trade and national security. The event will conclude with lunch and a Retrospective on 46 Years of the Year-End Import/Export Conference with John McKenzie and Baker McKenzie Global Chair, Sunny Mann.
