The team managing Crown exemption letters for the MOD has changed name and location. The Export Control Joint Unit’s MOD Team is the only entity which is authorised to issue Crown exemption letters on behalf of the UK MOD, relating to the export of military items. Following the US President’s signing into law of the “Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act” (“CAATSA”) (as discussed in our blog post here), the European Commission has released an official statement in response.
